WORKERS COMPENSATION:    We offer a Retrospective Rating Program which helps our members maintain a safe working place while assisting them with Claims Management.  WA State Labor & Industries has returned millions in premiums to participating WFI Members for outstanding performance.

GRASSROOT DEVELOPMENT:  Tools and Information to employers to help increase participation in the activities of local, state and federal governments.

For Instance:
“
The GROW Program; Growing Roots for Our Workforce”, utilizing the EZ Vote System assists in voter registration. providing businesses and their employees with an interactive, web-based tool to help employees easily identify and locate their elected state and congressional lawmakers.  When employers and employees are informed on issues that affect their jobs and quality of life, they can make informed voting decisions.

The initiative links employer intranets to Federal election content provided by national business organizations and Washington-specific content provided by the Washington GROW Partners.  Employees and the public will also be able to gain access to important election information from this public website.  The goal of Enterprise Washington's GROW Program is to increase voter registration and election participation among
 Washington's workforce.

INDUSTRY RELATIONS:  WFI facilitates opportunities for collaboration between supply chain trading partners and the independent grocers and wholesalers.  WFI’s Retail-Vendor Share Group creates opportunities for retailers and vendors to establish stronger communications and interaction thereby creating enhanced business opportunities.  Member only sponsorship of Board of Directors meetings, newsletters and other events may be arranged upon request.

National Relationships are maintained with the Grocery Manufacturers of America, National Grocers Association and the Food Marketing Institute.

GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS:   Our two registered lobbyists have a combined experience of over 30 years on the 'inside' of the legislature and state agencies having held numberous key advisory positions at state agencies. They provide our members with timely, credible and proven effective representation on issues directly affecting our industry when laws and regulations are made and changed.

The Washington Food Industry leverages the power of its membership to provide legislative advocacy on behalf of the grocery industry. While WFI lobbyists play an important role in the day-to-day representation of the industry, members of WFI through their participation provide the strength necessary to have our voice heard at the Capitol and throughout the State.

INFORMATION & EDUCATION:  Our Call to Action Alerts, Legislative Activity Summaries, Bill Tracking Reports, Newsletters, Workplace Safety Tips and Webinars are invaluable services informing our members on emerging regulatory, legislative and industry issues as well as instructions on how to make a positive impact on the food industry - and your bottom line.
