Our WFIA members are industry leaders, business owners and decision makers. We encourage our members to contribute to our industry's success by volunteering. Gain valuable leadership experience and have access to the decision makers and the decision making in your industry. Send us an email with your desire to serve.
Members volunteer to serve on our Board of Directors, Government Affairs Committee (GAC) and Retro Action Committee (RAC). These WFIA committees guide our industry and members through the maze of government regulations. The people who make them up give generously of their time and expertise to this industry and our membership.
Our Board of Directors - WFIA's Board has supervision, control, and direction of the affairs of the association and determines its policies. The Board actively defends WFIA purposes and has discretion in the disbursements of its funds. The Board adopts rules and regulations for the conduct of its business.
Government Affairs Committee (GAC) - WFIA works for fair industry regulation and legislation agenda items that include food safety, labeling, recycling, workers' compensation, labor laws and lottery, tax issues. WFIA keeps the best interests of its members at the forefront of lawmakers' minds. The GAC governs WFIA's Political Action Committee.
Retro Advisory Committee (RAC) - This committee provides the necessary expertise to guide the Plan Director and third party administer in the technical elements of a successful workers' compensation retrospective rating program.
Political Action Committee (PAC) - WFIA actively participates in the election process and is committed to electing legislators that are supportive of policies that promote our industry, Washington's economy and sound fiscal practices.
