On October 8, 2019, Yoke’s clerk Henry Johnson clinched the Washington Food Industry Association Educational Foundation’s Best Bagger title for 2019.
He aced out eight other competitors for the state honor at the competition held Oct. 8 at Historic 1625 Tacoma Place in Tacoma.
As state champ, Henry will represent Washington State and compete for the $10,000 at the Annual National Best Bagger Battle title Feb. 25 in San Diego. Lisa Johnson of Fred Meyer in Tacoma placed second in the competition; Cole Crofton of Rosauers Supermarket in Yakima took third.
$2,000 cash, a trophy and an all expense paid trip for two to San Diego for the NGA National Contest!
Trip includes round trip airfare for two, a 3 day, 2 night hotel stay, no registration fee for the NGA contest, and $250 meal compensation.
